Power supplies according to the international standard

KNX is an internationally accepted standard that allows building management systems to communicate via a common so-called KNX bus.

KNX power supplies have been developed to power the KNX bus. A KNX power supply differs from a simple switching power supply because when a KNX device outputs a logic 0 pulse to the KNX bus, the KNX power supply sends a logic 1 signal to the bus after the logic 0 pulse, otherwise called a balancing pulse. This balancing pulse is essential for proper communication of KNX devices, so a KNX power supply must be used to power such systems.
